VolkerLaser team donate fencing to Surrey Scouts
The VolkerLaser team, based on site in Guildford, has donated their temporary chestnut fencing to the Surrey Scouts
VolkerLaser project manager, Kristijan Andric, and his team on the A3 University Interchange project, were approached by a local scout club after they installed 250m of temporary chestnut fencing on their site in Guildford. The team promised that once the fencing had been used and it had no further purpose, they would donate it to the club as a form of permanent fencing at the Bentley Copse Activity Centre.
The centre is owned by Surrey Scouts and is used by scouts, guides, Duke of Edinburgh, schools and other youth organisations, where they can take part in a range of activities, including archery, go karting and climbing.
Neil Wibberley, County Media Manager for Surrey Scouts, said: “The fencing will be erected (when the site is reopened) along the archery boundary, which currently has temporary fencing, and along a boundary between a camping field and wood pile, to ensure safe access. This donation will allow the money initially saved for this work to be used in improving other parts of the site.”
Well done to all involved!
