VolkerLaser boosts in-house capabilities with expert Senior Project Manager

Having previously worked for Hevilifts Ltd, Mark’s impressive project portfolio includes the replacement of bridge bearings on Hammersmith Flyover, and the award-winning M3 Hawley Lane Bridge, Europe’s largest composite reinforcement bridge strengthening project at the time.

It also includes unusual projects such as the Headgear renewal for Cleveland Potash Ltd, in which a 50m tall 2700 tonne concrete headgear was jacked and slid away from its original position using polished steel slide paths, before being successfully demolished.

During his extensive career, Mark has carried out hydraulic heavy lifting and sliding, bridge jacking and launching, bearing replacement schemes, structural strengthening and post-tensioning.

“Mark will be a fantastic addition to the team,” said Jeff Booth, VolkerLaser’s technical and development director. “His technical experience and vast skillset will help grow the business exponentially. I’m sure he’ll prove to be a great asset.”
