VolkerLaser announces new divisional manager
VolkerLaser is pleased to announce the promotion of James Maher as its new divisional manager of special projects.
James is taking on the role, following the retirement of Geoff Thomas at the end of last year. Having previously worked as operations manager for special projects, James is in the ideal position to lead the team into 2021, and beyond.
James Maher said: “I feel it is an exciting time to lead the special projects division into its next chapter, and believe the team we have built over the years is hungry for continued success. By success, I intend that for both the business and its people, as the two go hand in hand. We have a promising order book, with some exciting opportunities in the pipeline and a team more than capable to deliver those opportunities - which equates to a healthy combination.
“Having developed with the business in my 11 years here, it gives me great pleasure to be in a position to give others that same opportunity, for which I take a great sense of responsibility. I would like to thank the wider VolkerLaser team, who have supported me in the transition into this role, and would ask that they extend that support to the wider special projects team, which also includes some new faces, as we embark on the next chapter.
