A huge well done to the team at Oldbury, who have been working with a local charity to make use of excess timber, ply board and cable reels.

Over 2 tonne of wood has been donated to The Active Wellbeing Society to date, with the team also making planters for an ongoing garden renovation project.

The Active Wellbeing Society is a community benefit society, based in Birmingham, who work with communities where inequalities are at their highest. They aim to tackle inequality, share resources and deliver a wide range of free activities and services aimed at improving wellbeing at an individual and community level.

Over the coming months, the Oldbury team will be organising volunteers to support on various activities, as well as making further donations to help other ongoing projects.

“Thank you so much for your second donation to The Active Wellbeing Society. A lot of the community are really going to benefit from making furniture for the area at Hay Hall where they can come to relax , have sessions, and just take time away to feel safe. We are very grateful to you. Thanks again.”
