Industry first at International Safety Awards

VolkerWessels UK are celebrating after receiving high recognition at the 60th annual British Safety Council ‘International Safety’ Awards.

VolkerLaser earned a Merit Award for the Ashton Avenue Swing Bridge project, with only two points away from Distinction. VolkerHighways also earned a Merit for their work with London Borough of Camden.

VolkerRail was awarded a fourth consecutive distinction in recognition of its commitment to the safety of its workers during the 2016 calendar year. VolkerRail is one of the first companies to receive a fourth consecutive Distinction Award from the British Safety Council. VolkerFitzpatrick achieved two merit awards for its WAML star and Temple Mills Depot projects.

They are open to businesses, public and third sector bodies of all sizes and sectors from the United Kingdom, Africa, Asia, India and the Middle East.
