Big book drop supports local cause
VolkerLaser are calling all bookworms and hoarders across offices and sites to collect books to be sold in support of St. Richard's Hospice.
The book drop provides an opportunity for staff to clear their shelves, tidy their lofts, and empty their garages by donating any unwanted books to charity.
Staff were also invited to purchase any of the books on display, raising an additional £30 for the hospice.
On the 27th of June, VolkerLaser staff visited the hospice to drop off over 200 books, ranging from adult fiction, children’s annuals, autobiographies, and cookery books!
The books will be sold in the hospice's charity shops across the Worcestershire county.
Thank you to everyone who donated for your continued support.
This appeal comes off the back of previous fundraising efforts in the form of an Easter raffle and a clothing bank appeal.
St Richard’s provides free specialist palliative care for patients living with life-threatening illnesses and supports their families. Each year the hospice team supports over 2,500 patients and family members in Worcestershire and helps people enjoy their lives despite the effects of their illness.
