Alex Byng wins Emerging Talent Award
On Friday 6 October, assistant site manager, Alex Byng was awarded the Emerging Talent Award at the annual Concrete Repair Association (CRA) Awards in Liverpool.
The CRA Awards single out the companies, projects and people that exemplify the best in our industry, with the Emerging Talent Award focussing on individuals who have been in construction for less than five years but who have still put in an outstanding performance.
Since joining the business in 2019, Alex has been committed to developing his skills and knowledge, combining his studies with the practical experience of a site-based role. In this short space of time, he has progressedfrom an apprentice position to assistant site manager, and is currently working with the south division on a project in Plymouth.
On receiving the award, Alex said: “I’m absolutely delighted to have won the CRA Emerging Talent Award. It was a great night celebrating the various achievements across the concrete repair industry and I’m very appreciative that my efforts have been recognised. I want to thank those who have taken a personal interest in my career and have given me the opportunities to develop, and I also want to thank those who took time out of their busy schedules to write my nomination!”
