On Friday 22 March, the team at Welford celebrated Nowruz, with an event organised by project manager, Ehsan Fathiazar.
Nowruz is the Iranian or Persian New Year celebrated by people across the world. The festival is based on the Iranian Solar Hijiri calendar, and is usually celebrated on or around 21 March.
Ehsan set up a traditional Haft-Seen table, and the team enjoyed traditional Persian food supplied by a local Iranian chef. He also hosted a Teams call for the wider business, as well as representatives from the client and other contractors working on the Welford project, explaining more about the typical celebrations held during Nowruz.
Happy Nowruz!
